Another well polished puzzle game from Furcifer studios for MSX2 with swinging MSX Music soundtracks, coming right at you.
This year’s edition, we seem to get a lot of puzzle games. Well, they’re always welcome. So what do we have here? It’s a mix-and-match variant, with an actual storyline and intriguing gameplay mechanics. It does actually matter what character the player picks to play as.
Sander Niessen and Hans Cnossen (a.k.a. “Kid Cnoz”) joined forces with designer Balloon Cart, to create an action puzzle game. Puzzle Pals will keep you busy with involving gameplay, eye-candy graphics and top-notch sounds. You are to solve colourful puzzles by matching different types of stones in order to make them disappear.
The game offers three game play variants – “CAMPAIGN”, “SINGLE PLAYER” and “PLAYER vs PLAYER”. It also features three different playable characters, each with their own unique perk, which has an important impact on the gameplay. The “PLAYER vs PLAYER” mode offers quite the number of modifyable stats, to ensure you’ll keep having fun competing with your buddies.
